If you’re anything like me, the first time you saw the state budget, you blinked and slowly responded with a delayed “Huh??”
Our state runs off a $43 billion budget. It’s going to be complex any way you look at it. But believe it or not, the state budget can be broken down in such a way where it seems somewhat comprehensible. And, once you have a clearer picture of how the budget’s constructed, all the current budget-balancing talk and corresponding proposals make a lot more sense.
In an attempt to help you sift through the confusion that is the state appropriations process, MNA is hosting several free sessions on the state budget, and you’re invited to participate. The same recurring session will be held twice via conference call, on March 1 and March 2 respectively, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Click here to view all the details and to register.
